Docfield>2015 Documental Photography in Barcelona

June 1st, 2015

L’animalada is a series of animals created by Sandra Sardà that combines recycling, play and creativity. Through her interactive work she gives objects a new life, returning them, metaphorically speaking, to the natural world, from which everything comes and to which everything—toxic or otherwise— will return. Weird Animals is a photography project that sets out to address the issue of recycling and waste by placing Sandra’s animals in their natural habitat thereby suggesting a possible future for our planet. These extreme images of “recycled” animals, taken into an almost surrealist realm, invite us to reflect on an issue that affects us all.

The exhibition is part of the circuit DOC Field>2015 and it can be seen at Espai Fotogràfic Can basté from the 6th of June till the 31th of July 2015.
