The project Candide started by chance when I took the first pictures in the Ebro Delta. After almost two years the project reached the end. With this work I want to describe and recall what the meaning of silence, pure and candid is in our life, as Voltaire teaches us with “we must cultivate our garden”. I’m not talking about being mystic or poor or ascetic. I’m talking about an immaculate, pure, and candid way of living. We are often surrounded by noise, masses of people, loaded by work and we get used to it, to the point that we believe we can’t live without it. I want to go back to the moments when it took so little to be satisfied. Simplicity not just on the outside, but on the inside too, pure mind operating without distracting noise. This is the whole point of my project, making people aware that the simplest things can be the most meaningful.
